How We Create Our Astrology Content

This page explains how ZodiacSoulmate researches, writes, and reviews its content. We publish it because we believe you deserve to know exactly where our articles come from — how topics are chosen, what sources inform our interpretation, and where the limits of what we claim actually are.
Why This Matters
When we first started planning ZodiacSoulmate, we noticed something frustrating: most astrology articles either repeated the same clichés or made promises no one could honestly support. Content that said “Scorpios are intense” without explaining why someone’s Scorpio partner had gone completely silent after a deeply intimate weekend. Generalizations where people needed specificity.
Our goal is to be clearly and honestly in the middle: interpretive, pattern-based, emotionally grounded, and transparent about what we can and cannot claim.
How We Choose Topics
Every article starts with a real question — something thousands of people are actively searching for, usually in a moment of emotional confusion or need. Here’s how we evaluate whether a topic belongs on ZodiacSoulmate:

Our Content Process
Every article starts with a real search query — a question that thousands of people are actively typing into Google, usually in a moment of emotional confusion or need. We research search volume, intent, and what existing content is and isn’t addressing well. If the question is being answered badly everywhere else, that’s where we focus.
Once we have a topic, we anchor it in established astrological frameworks — the sign’s ruling planet, elemental nature, modality, and how those factors typically manifest in emotional and relational behavior. We draw on classical and modern astrological interpretation, cross-referencing multiple traditions when they differ.
Astrological interpretation becomes useful when it maps onto recognizable behavior. We ask: what does this actually look like in practice? What would someone experience on the receiving end of this pattern? We ground every article in observable, relatable emotional situations — not abstract zodiac theory.
We write dozens of articles about overlapping themes — different signs, similar emotional situations. Before any article is finalized, we check it against existing content on the same cluster to make sure it offers a genuinely different angle, different examples, and a different conclusion. Repetition is not value.
Every article is reviewed against our editorial checklist before going live: Does the opening hook address a real emotional moment? Does each section answer a distinct question? Are there at least two recognizable real-world scenarios? Are claims appropriately hedged? Is the CTA emotionally connected to the content? Articles that don’t pass this review are rewritten, not published.
AI tools may assist in drafting or organizing ideas during our content process. However, every article published on ZodiacSoulmate is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content that has not been read, evaluated, and revised by Denis Carver or a member of our editorial team. The standard is the same regardless of how a draft originated: it must meet our editorial guidelines or it doesn’t go live.
What Informs Our Interpretations
- Classical Western astrology — sign rulerships, elemental and modal frameworks, planetary dignities
- Modern psychological astrology — particularly the work of Liz Greene and Stephen Arroyo, who bridge astrological tradition with depth psychology
- Relationship astrology — synastry principles, Venus and Mars sign dynamics, 7th House interpretation
- Attachment theory and relationship psychology — particularly the foundational work of John Bowlby and Sue Johnson, which we cross-reference against astrological behavioral patterns
- Reader experience — real questions from real readers help us understand which patterns resonate most strongly and where our explanations need more specificity
The Honest Limits of What We Do
Sun sign astrology — which is the basis of most of our content — is one layer of a much larger system. A person’s full astrological profile includes rising sign, moon sign, Venus and Mars placements, house positions, and planetary aspects. Our articles focus on sun sign patterns because that’s the layer most accessible and most searched — but we acknowledge it is not the complete picture.
We cannot predict individual outcomes. We cannot tell you with certainty whether a specific Scorpio man will come back, whether a specific Gemini will commit, or whether your specific birth chart is compatible with someone else’s. We identify patterns — we do not read individual destinies.

How We Handle Updates and Corrections
Content on ZodiacSoulmate is reviewed periodically and updated when interpretations change, when reader feedback reveals a gap, or when we identify that an article is no longer meeting our editorial standards. Substantive changes are noted at the bottom of the relevant article.
